The Foundation
The Foundation was constituted in April 2003. Josef’s widow, Nini Herman, gave generous donations of original art work which now comprise a substantial part of our permanent collection. We have added to this over the years and now also include work donated to us, recent print bursaries and children’s artwork.

Our Work
Our work includes the annual schools project, working with primary and secondary schools, lectures and educational programmes, exhibitions, and an annual human rights programme (commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day, Refugee week and a talks).
Since 2018 we have supported recent art graduates annually from Swansea College of Art in memory of one of our Trustees.
We hold regular exhibitions of our permanent collection and the work of artists contemporary to Herman through regular events and lectures both at venues and via live streaming.
